Colonial Development Advisory Committee.

With reference to C.D.A.C. 31. I circule to

a memorandum by the Head of the Far Eastern Department

of the Colonial Office, submitting for the Committee's

favourable consideration the application of the

Governor of Hong Kong for assistance from the

Colonial Development Fund in respect of the cost of water schemes in Hong Kong and Kowloon.

2. The cross-harbour water pipe line mentioned

in paragraph (2) of the Colonial Office Memorandum

circulated with C.D.A.C. 31 is part of the Sheng-

Mun scheme described in the memorandum now enclosed.

3. The usual summary of answers to the

Scheduled questions is prefixed.
